Hi all,

My MIL's B2 visa was rejected last month, the reason given was 214B (potential immigrant with no ties..)

She is a single parent with two daughters...eldest is in singapore on temp deputation (husband is on a short term assignment in singapore) and the youngest is here in usa (my wife)

My MIL had told the VO last time that eldest is in spore and he immediately rejected her case.

We have booked an appt again in late jan 2006 for her. What should she tell VO if asked about the eldest daughter?

1. Can we tell that she has returned to India (though she will be coming back only by mid 2006) or still the same singapore location (though she will mostly get rejected if she tells this)

Will the consulate keep records of the reason of rejection when she had her first appointment?

Please advise me on the best course of action.

Regards

Murali

Officer look for the overall case and not just becuse the elder child is in not in Inida Or will be back in India kind of question can make them decide.
The key is prepare well for the interview and provide the authentic information.
No matter what information you provide make sure it is consistant and handled with confidence.
