DS 156, Port of entry

My mother has 3 months of visiting time entered in DS 156. During the port of entry if the officer asks she plans for 5 months. Although she is not bringing DS156 to the port of entry officer, the next time she goes for interview in Chennai, will they verify the duration my mother intended in DS 156 and that she requested in Port of entry.

Will that make difference for her granting visa the next time. She has only one year visa.

Please suggest me, so that i can plan for her duration of stay etc.

I think its ok to say 5 months at POE evenif you said 3 months in the form.

My concern is the next time when my mom apply for visa they might ask how many months she stayed. In that case she has to say 4 months, but they might look at previous or the current DS156 and see 3 months and think that my mom is lying about requirement.

Do they look at the previous DS 156 (3 months stated) and the stay for 4 months?

Can anyone please clearify.
